Is your brand new iPhone 12 not charging with MagSafe? This is a common iOS 14 issue that can happen with all iPhone 12 models, including the 12 mini, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.
The Apple MagSafe charger for iPhone is a first generation accessory and thus prone to glitches. It seems that most often the iPhone won't charge with MagSafe the first time you connect the puck to the back of the iPhone.

1. Tap the Battery icon in the status bar.
2. Force restart your iPhone with the MagSafe puck still connected.
3. Remove MagSafe compatible iPhone 12 case.
